Little Book People

Can I confess something to you?

I am Self Righteous.

I tend to think I am right on just about everything.

I hate to admit it. I am often wrong.

There. That’s on paper.

This past year has really put me on an edge.

Here’s why.

It’s Time for Gun Legislation!

Hi,

How are ya’?

Me? I’ve been working my rear end off installing a brand new rather large cooler in our flower shop. We turned it on yesterday. It’s something.

It’s a dream realized. A dream I have had for over 10 years. Finally. It’s accomplished. It’s realized.

What is it about realizing a success in something we have longed to see happen for such a lengthy period in years?

Not sure, but it’s great.

Be Careful What You’re Sellin’

On Saturday of last week, my wife, Joelle, sent me a link to an article on Foxnews. In it, the writer reports on a story about a Pastor in Missouri.

He has been suspended by the General Baptist Ministries Association and is currently undergoing “counseling”. Read- Reeducation.

Should you wish to see the story, and even watch the sermon bringing the wrath of the “woke” you can do so here.

This gentleman stands on a lot of nerves in this sermon. Some of which is not wrong. If you read my post on Gluttony, you will see in certain respects I agree with him.

Greed Is Destroying Us

I watched President Trumps full speech at CPAC on Sunday.

What an incredibly stark contrast to Joe “Dark Winter” Biden and his ability or lack thereof to orate. Holy man.

Travelin’ Van

As I wander the country to do photography, I have tried to make use of our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan.

It’s become a pretty great van to travel in.

Comfortable to drive and plenty roomy to sleep in.

On the road, I absolutely love the Ford Transit larger van along with the Dodge Promaster series.

Losing In Life

Life can really suck the wind out of us, can’t it?

I know there are a lot of people around preaching “your happiness isn’t circumstantial”. Yeah, I know. They are right…I guess.

Pain is pain regardless. It ain’t no happy time when you go through pain. It is a real drag.

“Follow…”

“Follow…”

“Follow the Science, my God, follow the Science…” our first “Karen” forcefully, even dare I say, loudly demanded of my wife yesterday; smiling, happy, lovely, pretty, care free, goofy Joelle.

Now, I use the Karen label in some level of ignorance. It’s a phrase my daughter used to describe the lady. Apparently, this is a descriptive term, or name, to identify an individual like the one visiting our business yesterday. I don’t know fully from where it originates. I know it’s a negative term.

It seems like it’s just a term to describe what I might deem a “Screaming Ninny”. To me, that’s what this woman sounded like.

Living Impactfully

It was the very early 1990’s. My then wife’s mother discussed this man called Rush Limbaugh. Someone she had listened to on WOOD Radio in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Who was this man with such an odd first name?

I would find out.

Natural Bridges

The final stop on our September road trip was Natural Bridges National Monument. Ed and I spent a few days in the park doing some photography and in general just enjoying the scenery.

If you are not familiar with this area, it’s sandwiched between the Bears Ear National Monument land in Utah. It’s due south of the southern end of Canyonlands National Park.

It’s a really special area.
