Life Is Short
Live It Well
Life is Short…Live It Well
The final pages of Viktor Frankl’s “Man’s Search for Meaning” contain parting wisdom from Mr. Frankl. In a final summation of his philosophy on life, he writes, “The meaning of your life is to help others find the meaning of theirs.”
My goal and purpose is to help others live well.
I want to help you through my own life experiences to find a new FOCUS.
You may be asking, “Oh, yeah? What makes you an expert on how to help me, Man With a Website On The Internet?”
In a world overrun with online “experts,” and “life coaches,” I think that’s a reasonable question to ask! I’d like to direct you to the About Me page. I think there you’ll find that we probably have shared some of the same struggles, challenges, and triumphs in this life. I hope that you can relate to the stories I share there, and in that relating, you find confidence in the encouragement I have to offer on this site.
A better level of living is yours for the taking if you want it bad enough.

It is through faith alone that we are brought to peace with the Creator of everything we see. This same faith then helps us to stand firm and weather life’s adversities, while simultaneously helping us to truly enjoy life’s blessings.
(Isaiah 7:9)
Faith
We must begin to listen to that still small voice when it prompts us. No longer ignoring its nudges, we submit our bodies and minds in obedience to follow its leading. For it is by this Spirit we must willingly choose to live our lives. If the wind and the seas obey Him, we would do well to do the same.
(Luke 8:25)
Obedience
The precipice of an enormous canyon. The black-as-ink desert night sky, spreading out endlessly in total silence. It’s impossible to not be overwhelmed by the majesty and power of the Creator who brought it all into being. Realizing this same Creator takes a personal interest in me bolsters my courage.
(Joshua 1:9)
Courageous
Becoming and experiencing everything in this life we are called to requires a dogged persistence, an unwillingness to quit in spite of the challenges and hardships we may face. With our Courage bolstered while we walk in Obedience, our Faith in what is to come leads us up and forward. Never quitting, never giving up.
(Galatians 6:9)
Unrelenting
Being careful to set healthy limits and boundaries as we strain to live with FOCUS, we begin to look for ways to share our journey with others who are struggling. We focus not on what we can gain from them but instead what we can give. We lend them a hand upward if they too wish to advance.
(1 Corinthians 13: 4-7)
Selfless
Every Photo Reveals a Lesson
Every single photograph you see on this website has some kind of story behind it. With thousands of images in my personal library it’s a good thing I enjoy telling stories!
When I began my trek across the country in 2020 I lived out of my van striving to find obscure out of the way places of which I could spend time capturing epic landscape photographs. I spent months living minimally learning about myself, standing in wonder and awe at God’s handiwork; much of which the majority of people will never see.
At each and every turn, a lesson was learned. Life metaphors began to form in my minds eye linking a story to the photo. As I would lie awake under the stars, literally miles from any other human, I would ponder and think about what I could learn. In this process I decided I must begin to live more resolutely with tighter F.O.C.U.S.. I would begin finding ways to share what I was learning and what God was saying to me with anyone willing to listen.
The Greatest Storyteller
Jesus, while here, proved himself to be the greatest story teller we would ever know. It’s from his example I hope to begin helping others as they struggle to find their way in life. It is through story that others are drawn to us. The better we are at telling a story, the more interested in what we have to say others become.
From my early days as a Dale Carnegie Course graduate and subsequent DCC graduate assistant, I have always loved speaking in public. What brings me even more joy is sharing the stories behind the photographs and the travel leading up to them with the people I meet. It’s always ends with how I witnessed God’s hand working in me and in the situation to bring about yet another piece of wisdom which can be applied to daily life. Sharing these tales always seems to give others hope and encouragement in their own lives.
What’s Your Story?
We all have a story. Some of us are living fully the life we have been called to live. The life for which we have been gifted.
Others are barely living, fearful of making changes or taking on anything too challenging.
It is my hope that through this site and the things I share, you may find yourself encouraged. It is my hope you will learn how to live at the maximum potential to which you are called.
We all struggle and we all face difficulties and pain unique to us. But we are all human and in many respects the things we have in common will be the pain we feel when it’s hard and the joys we feel when it’s wonderful. Being able to stand together makes it much more bearable.
My time on the road doing photography has certainly taught me both. More importantly my time here on earth and the years of walking through life, those painful moment and challenges and those victories as well have taught me that never at any time was I alone. The one who created it all has always been by my side.
I hope to help you find the same degree of victory and accomplishment as I share my life stories.
