Travel: To See and Do
In 2017, when my desire to see all there is to see across America began, my daughter and I had been talking about visiting England. It was her desire to spend a few weeks visiting the mother land of our now founded United States of America.
As a college graduation gift, I had agreed that I would pay for her adventure and I would tag along.
Events around the time made visiting potentially quite dangerous. So much so in fact, the plan was aborted and instead replaced with a plan to visit the vast expanses of the United States.
Her choice at that time was to fly to California and visit the Joshua Tree desert along with the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
We ended up hitting Joshua Tree National Park, then Kings Canyon National Park along with Sequoia National Park. Our next planned stop would be Yosemite National Park, but, due to severe fires at that time, the trip was altered. We instead drove across Nevada and into Utah to spend a few days in Zion National Park and the Dixie National Forest.
The sites we were privy to witness, the hikes we ended up taking set on fire a desire for more. The rest, as you can say, is history.
Since that time I have travelled to a significant number of locales all across the United States. I have lost count of the number of stops, trails, and even states I have spent time in, all in my pursuit to do photography and video.
Through this website I hope to share with the public a host of site seeing opportunities from which you can glean your own ideas for upcoming travel and adventures.
I have never been one for what I call “local” site seeing. I define this as visiting local attractions. Those being, by my standards, restaurants, wineries, breweries and historical buildings, monuments and documents. Yes, I have enjoyed thoroughly the times I have spent in, say, Washington DC to take in the history of our founding and our wars. However, these do not hold my continued interests. For me, the vast expanses of the wilderness, the wild, and all of the opportunities they provide for solitude, peace, and reflection are where I like to spend my time.
To me, it’s a matter of preference. Neither is more right than the other.
Through this site and my writings, I will show you through photography and word various things to see and do in any number of locales I have found myself in the past.
I will provide tips in order for you to enjoy it the most successfully.
You will see sights from Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Washington, Montana, California, Nevada and more.
I hope to be of help and use to you as you search your own agendas in an attempt to find things to see and do across our home, the United States of America. Be sure to sign up for my blog. Through this blog you will find an organized list of posts about various places I have often found myself throughout my life out on the road. If you become a subscriber, you will receive updates every time a new post drops, often with Travel Advice and things to see and do.
In today’s post, I am going to share with you a video that I have made which outlines and documents some of my favorite spots for photography within the Grand Teton National Park.
I hope you find the video informative and helpful.
