🌵 Chasing the Super Bloom in Anza-Borrego 🌸🏜️
Back in March 2024, Joelle, Watson, and I took off to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park to catch the desert wildflower bloom at its peak. We set up camp at Arroyo Salado, a quiet and remote spot, and spent several days chasing the colors of spring across the desert.
Exploring the Bloom
We started at Henderson Canyon Road, which was absolutely exploding with color. Flowers stretched as far as the eye could see, and it felt like walking through a painting. From there, we ventured into Coyote Canyon, where the rugged terrain and scattered blooms made for some epic photo opportunities. Our last stop was Grapevine Canyon, where the mix of wildflowers and desert landscapes made for a perfect ending to the trip.
A Silent Adventure
Rather than just snapping photos, I put together a silent adventure video to really capture the feeling of being out there—no narration, just the sights and sounds of the desert, set to some peaceful music. If you’re looking for a way to unwind and escape into nature for a bit, this video is for you.
Watch the Journey
I hope this video brings you a little piece of the desert, wherever you are. Check it out below!
As always, let me know what you think in the comments! If you’ve been out chasing the bloom this year, I’d love to hear about your experience.
See you on the next adventure!
