Our adventure led us to some of Cape Disappointment State Park's most captivating locations:
Deadman's Cove: This secluded inlet, with its turquoise waters and forested cliffs, offers a serene escape from the more frequented trails.
North Head Lighthouse: Perched on a rocky promontory, this historic lighthouse has guided mariners since 1898 and provides panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Long Beach Peninsula.
Waikiki Beach: A small beach located within Cape Disappointment State Park, known for its scenic beauty and proximity to the North Head Lighthouse.
Benson Beach: A more secluded stretch of shoreline, perfect for reflective walks and absorbing the vastness of the Pacific.

Reflections on the Storm
The Bible often uses storms as metaphors for life's challenges, reminding us of both the trials we face and the hope that follows. As Psalm 107:29 reflects, "He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed." Standing amidst the aftermath, I was reminded of nature's cyclical dance—how storms, though fierce, give way to calm, and how beauty often emerges from turbulence.
