He’s Interested

Every now and again God shows up in a very personal way. If you doubt it, please let this short post and bit of a story ruminate in your mind for the day.

I sat down to read and study a little this morning as I generally do each day.

I have a devotional that my son Levi presented to me many years back. It’s by Charles (Chuck) Swindoll. It’s titled Day by Day.

It’s been useful and helpful for me. I love Charles Swindolls writing and thinking.

At any rate, here’s how my study went.

I sat down, read the various scriptures I tend to read throughout my weeks and then turned to today’s devotional.

In the event you can’t see the attached photo, let me quote from today’s study.

“Week 28 - Sunday

~Think it Over~

Can’t seem to get where you want to go fast enough?

Leave it to God.

Worried about your kids?

Leave it to God.

Living in a place you’d rather not be?

Leave it to God.

Looks like you won’t graduate with honors?

Leave it to God.

Now matter how hard you try, your life’s partner simply is not responding?

Leave it to God.

Found a lump and you see the doctor tomorrow?

Leave it to God.

You’ve said all the right words to that friend who is lost, and you’ve been all you know to be; still, zip?

Leave it to God.

Haven’t got a date for the prom?

Leave it to God.

A mid-career change seems scary?

Leave it to God.

You did the job but someone else got the credit?

Leave it to God.

Getting older, alone?

Leave it to God.”

I proceeded to put the book down, drank a small sip of my coffee.

Then…

*Beep-Beep*

Text message notification.

Reviewed message.

Leaving it to God.

I find it incredible the Creator of the Universe knew within seconds I would need to read the above to prepare me for that text message. He loves me SO much that he got very personal at just the right time to say to me at the perfect moment, not a second early nor late

“Leave it to Me”.

Okay.

I will.
