Jesus’ words about worry are linked to the flowers. This adventure into the desert in search of the spring wildflowers has been very eye opening. I have been to many desert sin search of wildflowers but have never seen anything quite like what we witnessed at the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park last week. Sin Blinds Us

We recently visited a hellscape in southern California called Slab city. A dark place inhabited seemingly by destitute drug addicts.

While we have little conclusive proof that all 160 or so “residents” were Meth heads, it surely was a “dark” place in which you could feel the evil all around.

Drugs seemed to be the currency of choice here and it was a dirty, chaotic mess of a place. It gave me cause to think on how people get to a place they would want to and feel comfortable calling this place “home”.
