Lacking No Good Thing

Today, in my studies, I was led to Psalm 34: 1-10. I have a significant series of verses in Psalm 34 underlined from previous readings.

I took note today for some reason of verse 10.

“Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,

but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.”

There is a note I penned next to this verse. Here’s what is says.

“-really must trust Him now! 3-19-20”

For some reason that date struck me and it brought me through a rapid series of past memories bringing me right up to today, where I am sitting in my Winnebago, in the remote regions of New Mexico, typing this blog.

The date marked the time in our past where governments all across the land started a significant effort to take over our lives through the systematic revocation of many of our constitutionally guaranteed protections through the Bill of Rights.

It marked a time in our now history which would expose the weakest among us and those who, should the full tyranny and evil of which man is capable of attempt to take over, would readily go along with whatever the tyrants demanded or dictated. I worry some over the fate of America long term if a full on takeover ever ensues. I’m not sure any more we could survive as a free nation.

It exposed how weak the church would show itself to be. It showed the greed of the politicians. It exposed the willingness of man to be subservient to evil. It showed how people will willingly take poison into their veins to keep life “normal” and not lose their jobs or positions in the military or face scorn from their friends and worse yet, total strangers. It exposed a lot…that we must never forget (although many have…Gretchen Whitmer 2nd term anyone?).

To this day, as I walk around, in this state specifically, so many are still donning masks, outside no less. The number of masked humans here is significant compared to the other states through which I have now traversed.

So many have been programmed and harmed for the rest of their lives. And the now lifetime masking is only a sliver of the damage in my view.

That date, at that time, was when I was told to shut my business down for a period of time, by the governor of and state of Florida.

Of course, there was no way in hell I would comply, and I did not…but everyone around me did. I was, for sure, a man on an island for a number of what would become months. A very angry man at that.

That brings me to right here, right now.

Never, in a million years, would I have envisioned, a little over 3.5 years later, that in the months and years which would follow, how overcome with the Lord’s blessings monetarily I would find myself. I was utterly astounded to the degree with which our small flower shop grew for the following 2.5 years! Our vats overflowed, for sure.

I don’t have the kind of material wealth, say, my Aunt and Uncle have or a few of my closest friends have. BUT, I never would have dreamed we would have actually been able to sell our debt free business (making the small proceeds total profit), or for that matter our home for such a significant profit, over doubling in value in less than 5 years time!

“…but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing…”.

A LOT of my friends, associates, and family chose to, at that time, trust in the government. I chose, instead, to trust in the Lord.

God has blessed me since. I believe he will bless me into the future.

Doing what we are doing and making the choice to walk to the beat of a different drum, the path few would by choice take, I hope He will bless us even further.

When asked recently through the comment section of our Youtube channel by a subscriber how and why we did what we have done and are doing, specifically not having a home to which we can return, I thought of a video topic.

In the video below, I will get into a number of the things about which I now write and also do my best to answer his questions.

I hope you will take the time to watch. And in watching, I hope you might find some level of encouragement to challenge your own set of standards and beliefs in what really matters, in what really is important.

For in truth, nothing we collect will go with us. Nothing we amass, to only pass on to those behind when we die, will do anything, in most cases, to help further the lives of others. Little we collect will help others find meaning in their lives.

Only when we invest in them, in their lives, through our example and actions will our investments be of eternal value.

I can speak for Joelle when I say that we both desire, more than anything that our lives make a significant impact in and on those around us helping them to find purpose, meaning, and the internal guts it takes to really break out of the mold of what’s “normal”; into what’s extraordinarily and exclusively their calling and purpose.

Until next time,

rob out
