Sunrise Photography at Big Badlands Overlook (Bighorn Sheep Included!)

#landscapephotography #beginnerphotographytips #sunrisephotography

Well, it was our last day at Badlands National Park. We had a great few days and enjoyed our campsite as well as our stay, albeit cold and cloudy most of the time.

Due to the smoke from the fires, the skies were not supremely clear, however, when you are attempting to do landscape photography, you simply can’t plan on it always being perfect.

Often, I have found, I have to work around what God gives me on the day of doing the photos.

This morning was very, very cold. Made it tough to work, actually.
Joelle hung out with me as we climbed down to a ledge that overlooks the Badlands plains.

As I stood there watching the sun come up and the expanse before me, I was overwhelmed with the utter majesty and beauty of it all.

I hope you enjoy this video as well as the photos we were able to obtain from the morning.

We move on…to Yellowstone national park as we drive through Wyoming.
