Sunrise Over Logan Pass

Glacier National Park

I have become so far behind in my photography blogging. So many things to do, so many places to go.

My video assistant is going to begin working on the next video. The video release will be from the famed Logan Pass area of Glacier National Park.

On my last day in Glacier National Park, I just had to take Joelle, Mrs. Anthony, the Owners Wife, up to Logan Pass. In all of her reading, she really wanted to be sure to at least be up there a bit. Logan Pass is at the top of Going to the Sun Road. Arguably one of the most beautiful drives in the entire nation.

I’d say, it’s likely number 2 or 3 for me. I’ve driven a lot of them. And while it’s pretty amazing, it’s not at the top right now for me. I think route Hwy 12 from Torrey Utah all the way through Escalante has to be one of most unbelievable drives I have ever done. Pure heaven for 80 plus miles.

At any rate, we were up, again, incredibly early to get to this area. And while I was very tired, it was SO worth it. The sunrise was epic.

Sadly, in an area widely known to be full of Grizzly and Mountain Goats, we saw none.

The Logan Pass area is home to many of the most sought after hikes in Glacier National Park. Many of the most beautiful spots in Glacier are accessed from a series of trail heads on the top of Logan pass, the apex of Going to the Sun Road.

Don’t miss it if you can get there. Watch the sunrise if you are there in time. It’s a BUSY place once everyone in the park starts to wake up and get milling around. But if you are there way pre dawn, you will be almost alone and holy cow…it’s worth it. Even if you just walk the little sidewalk trail around the Visitor Center.

Enjoy the photos. And thanks for stopping by. The video up and coming will be great. The footage is to die for.

Drop me a line if you have any questions.
