Pod Racing in the Gulch

This was taken mid day in December in the Buckskin Gulch via the Wire Pass Trail Head in the Coyote Buttes. The light shining on the rusty red rocks reminds me of a Star Wars canyon. I can’t help but picture pod racers flying around some distant planet, swerving around corners anxiously hoping to win the final race. This place is so peaceful, so old, and so mysterious. It is one of my favorite spots in the world.
