The Italian Princess and I finally made it to our first stop in Yellowstone National Park. We entered the park at the VERY far northeast entrance, very early in the morning, with a plan to photograph the sunrise at a lake. I had done some reading and decided to photograph the sunrise at Trout Lake. This is a short, .5 mile hike (although steep) up and over a small hill/mountain.

We were greeted with a gigantic moose on the other side of the lake…and I think I am still kicking myself for not having my 600mm telephoto lens with me to get some shots of this dude having breakfast!

At any rate, I was able to capture an absolutely beautiful sunrise over the lake.

We made our way back to the car to watch a huge herd of Bison running down the road. They shook the ground.

We made our way through the Lamar Valley area and stopped to watch the wolves out in the Valley. Yep, we saw the wolves. I counted a total of 8 at any given moment.

They were too far out to photograph, but I’ll save that for another trip. I might make a winter trip to Yellowstone ... specifically for landscape photography.

I hope you will take time to check out this fun video from the lake. And hey, I’d LOVE to have you as a subscriber to the channel.

You take care of yourself. And remember, life is really, really short. We get old fast. Take advantage of what you can do now.

And STOP making getting rich and packing away tons of money for retirement. Don’t be stupid, of course, but let it not be your goal to work and “get to it later” with regard to living. When you get old, you may have a lot of money, but you will not be able to enjoy much with it all…because you’ll be too old and out of shape to do so!
