As we continued to travel through Yellowstone, we spent the morning photographing Yellowstone Falls, in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. What a gorgeous place. Wow, such a beautiful place.

Now, I didn’t really enjoy it there all too much. For a few reasons. It was incredibly cold. I wasn’t prepped for the cold on this one.

Second, I was there way too early. Lesson learned.

If you are going to photograph the sunrise on the falls, plan to be there about 3 hours after the technical sunrise.

To get the beautiful sunlight on the falls, the sun needs to be getting pretty high in the morning sky to get it across the falls.

From this point, we migrated over to the Grand Prismatic Springs overlook.

Now, I want to make sure you are clear on this.

If you are going to photograph the Spring, you are well served to visit it from the Upper Springs Overlook. This parking lot is south a little bit from the actual spring parking lot. You can’t take in the real beauty of the spring unless you are up high. I recommend that.

In this video, you are going to see me photographing the falls and the Grand Prismatic. I hope you enjoy and I hope you will consider watching, subscribing, liking, and sharing the channel.
