First, and most important, Merry Christmas. May your family be blessed and peace filled during this holiday time as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. God’s gift to mankind.
On our final night in Yellowstone National Park, we made our way down to the Grand Prismatic Spring. I met a couple while at the falls in Yellowstone and they suggested hitting Grand Prismatic at sundown.
It was a great choice. Although there was plenty of smoke and haze in the sky from fires, I was still able to capture some pretty dang beautiful sunset shots.
An even better one made its way onto the stage when the sun went down. This is frequently the case.
Many people think the best shots are as the sun is going down.
Not so. Most of the time, the best shots take place after the sun goes down and the light begins refracting off the earth up into the clouds. This is when the real light show begins.
You will see that in this shot.
I hope you will check out the video for the shoot as well as consider joining the subscriber base at the Youtube channel. That would mean a lot to us.
Of course, liking and commenting helps us to build some momentum to…so as always, we encourage you to do so.
See you in the next one, when we make our way toward Capitol Reef National Park.
