Recently, I was contacted by a realtor in the Miami Florida area. He has been tasked with selling a property in St Cloud Florida.

The reason for his call was to gather photos from the air for his sale. He had tried to gather them from Google Maps, but there are certain copyright issues. More importantly, you can’t really get a clear image file. Well, clear enough to put into the literature for the real estate for sale.

The realtor expressed a need for only about 10 photos (I provided more…as is something I generally do) for our posted price of $150 and we set a time and date.

This kind of photography isn’t the favorite of mine. I certainly prefer the creative angles I am shooting when out on one of my many adventures into the wild.

Never the less, there is just something special about getting photos from up at 400 feet.

I shot these from a varying heights. The lowest being 100 feet in the air, the highest being 600. 600, of course, being legal because I was within a 400 foot radius of a radio tower will above the 600 foot mark.

A drone pilot can legally fly to 400 feet ABOVE the HIGHEST point within a 400 foot radius of the highest point.

I am glad this tower was in the area. I needed to be up at 600 feet to get the full shot of the property in a single frame.
