Today, I just uploaded one of, in my view, the most epic, once in a lifetime shots I have ever taken. I do not say that lightly.

Everything lined up on a single day which allowed me to capture an amazing panorama using my Mavic 3 Classic professional camera drone.

The shot is of a mountain reflecting in the still, calm waters of Dog Lake on the Eastern Side of the Mount Rainier Range flanked with a stunning display of the Western Larch in full fall color.

What makes this so special is that all the factors needed for the shot were in place, all at the same time, on a single day. This is nearly an impossible mix of variables coming together.

Literally 0 MPH wind speeds- This allowed for an easy flight experience as well as allowed for a reflective glass formation across the surface of the lake. Unusual for the seasonal change at the time.

Sun, sun, and more sun- At this time of year, clouds are almost always evident. Particularly up across the range. To have such clear skies is a rarity to say the least.

COLOR!- The Larch trees were AT PEAK this day.

If any one of these elements were not present, there would never have been such an opportunity.

What an amazing image. It’s one that I will forever remember.
